He undertook post-doctoral research on federalism within the scope of modern and contemporary political philosophy. He is the author of several publications on these themes, notably <em>Sistema Pol\u00edtico e Eleitoral Norte-Americano: um Roteiro<\/em> (2008), <em>Raz\u00e3o e Liberdade \u2013 o Pensamento Pol\u00edtico de James Madison<\/em> (2012), <em>Teorias Pol\u00edticas Contempor\u00e2neas<\/em> (ed., 2015), as well as articles in specialized journals on topics such as Kantian political philosophy, the work of John Rawls, the nature of federalism, American political culture, and the challenges of contemporary democracy. He is the Coordinator of the International Master in Philosophy Lisbon-Lille, a Member of the Pedagogical Council (Philosophy Representative), and responsible for the &#8216;Over 23&#8217; admission process for the Faculdade de Letras (Philosophy Area). He is a member and researcher at the Philosophy Centre of the University of Lisbon.
