Ana Delicado holds a PhD in Sociology and is currently a Principal Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences (ICS), University of Lisbon, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico.
She obtained her Habilitation for the coordination of scientific functions in 2023. Her work focuses primarily on social studies of science, with research developed on scientific societies, science communication, public engagement with technology, energy, climate change, and digital technologies. She has coordinated several nationally competitive research projects and led the ICS team in international projects funded by the European Union. She is the coordinator of the Society in Transition Observatory and a member of the University Extension Committee of ICS ULisboa. She is an associate editor of the journal PLOS Sustainability and Transformation.
