WELCOME TO THE ALUMNI COMMUNITY OF THE PhD PROGRAM IN CLIMATE CHANGE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT POLICIES

ABOUT US

Since 2009, the PhD Program on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies has brought together a diverse group of individuals committed to sustainability and global justice. Over time, many of us have recognized the need for a dedicated space to connect, share ideas, and follow each other’s career paths. Therefore, we created this platform — the Climate Change Alumni Community — to (re)build connections, offer mutual support, and remain engaged with the critical challenges that initially united us.

WHAT WE ARE FEATURING

The Climate Change Alumni Community is a growing network of former students of PhD Program on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies dedicated to connection, collaboration, and climate action.
This community aims to:

  • Reconnect former students from all past editions.
  • Share knowledge, opportunities, and events.
  • Highlight the impact and achievements of our alumni.
  • Build a collective voice for climate action.

Thank you for participating!

This is a continuous effort — created by many.
Special thanks to all who have contributed with ideas and feedback.

WHO WE ARE:

This community is open to all who have participated in the PhD Program, including:

  • Students who have completed the Doctoral degree.
  • Students who attended the program as a specialization course.
  • Students currently working on their theses.

“Professionally, I am now regarded as a technician equipped with more tools to respond to the challenges facing my country and, in doing so, to offer a stronger contribution. I am deeply grateful to the Programme for the time I spent there, for the knowledge I gained, for the professors and for my colleagues. I can only express my sincere thanks to this Programme, and I hope it continues to involve more and more people and professionals, who will leave it better prepared to respond to emerging climate challenges.”

“My experience in the PhD Programme in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies gave me a new way of seeing the world around us, grounded in the idea that the collective demands from each individual a social and political awareness in the fight against climate change. Vulnerable people are today the greatest victims of a complex and multidisciplinary reality that requires responses from academia, civil society, and professionals across different fields. As a jurist and alumni, I know that the next step is to act as a community, building a bridge among all of us who study, have studied, or will choose to embrace this challenge.”
