WELCOME TO THE ALUMNI COMMUNITY OF THE PhD PROGRAM IN CLIMATE CHANGE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT POLICIES

ABOUT US

Since 2009, the PhD Program on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies has brought together a diverse group of individuals committed to sustainability and global justice. Over time, many of us have recognized the need for a dedicated space to connect, share ideas, and follow each other’s career paths. Therefore, we created this platform — the Climate Change Alumni Community — to (re)build connections, offer mutual support, and remain engaged with the critical challenges that initially united us.

WHAT WE ARE FEATURING

The Climate Change Alumni Community is a growing network of former students of PhD Program on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies dedicated to connection, collaboration, and climate action.
This community aims to:

  • Reconnect former students from all past editions.
  • Share knowledge, opportunities, and events.
  • Highlight the impact and achievements of our alumni.
  • Build a collective voice for climate action.

Thank you for participating!

This is a continuous effort — created by many.
Special thanks to all who have contributed with ideas and feedback.

WHO WE ARE:

This community is open to all who have participated in the PhD Program, including:

  • Students who have completed the Doctoral degree.
  • Students who attended the program as a specialization course.
  • Students currently working on their theses.

MEET YOUR COLLEAGUES

Every individual’s journey within the PhD program is unique. In this space, we regularly feature personal stories on how the Program has made a difference — in careers, projects, and lives. If you would like your dissertation or experience to be featured here, please contact the Climate Change Alumni Community!

As a PhD student at PDACPDS, I became more aware of the interdisciplinary complexity of climate change, deepened my knowledge and improved my research techniques. As a PhD graduate, I am now a more skilled professional as a teacher, consultant and, currently, special advisor to the highest magistrate in Cape Verde.
