Paulo Flores Ribeiro is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Instituto Superior de Agronomia of the University of Lisbon.
His research interests center on understanding the functioning of socio-ecological processes that link the decisions of farmers and rural landowners to their economic and environmental effects. His research focuses on developing approaches based on agricultural production systems that allow for the articulation of agricultural and environmental policies with the outcomes of agricultural activity, including both market and non-market goods and services. He has recently participated in several interdisciplinary studies that explore the provision of ecosystem services, biodiversity conservation, and issues related to food security, in both developed and developing regions.
